The forest knowledge trail of Verla was designed and implemented by the forest professionals at UPM. There a visitor can see the different stages of succession in Finnish forests. Along the trail the scenery changes from lush spruce forests to rocky landscapes and lake views. The highlight of the trail is Karitsasalmi.

Karitsasalmi: A pristine peninsula that has its tip cut by a little channel with its ancient pine trees.

Start

The trail starts from the parking place of Seuratalo. It is a circle trail.
